Fall Family Fun Ideas

Fall Family Fun Ideas

If you are on our social media, you might have gathered that this is my favorite time of year. I love Fall. I love the change of seasons, the colors, pumpkin patches, baking squash, and of course Halloween. So for those of you in the Milwaukee area, here are a few of my favorite things to do with my family in the fall.

1. Scenic Tower at Holy Hill. Take a climb up the scenic tower to get an amazing view of the surrounding area. I heard a rumor that on really clear days, you could see to Milwaukee but I doubt it. In any case, the view is amazing during fall and the color changes.

2. Pumpkin Picking. My favorite places are Creekside Valley Farm and Cedarburg Creek Farm. Maybe it's the midwest in me, I am 100% in for grabbing way too many pumpkins for my front porch and seeing farm animals. Creekside is fun for the petting zoo and I love hitting up Cedarburg Creek for walking through their pumpkin field. If you need more ideas for pumpkin farms, check out Milwaukee Mom's list.

3. Change of Seasons Hikes. I love the smell of fall and the leaves changing colors. I can usually convince Sky to head out on a hike with me to enjoy this. A few of my favorite spots are Schlitz Audubon Nature Center and Mequon Nature Preserve. Mequon Nature Preserve is always a favorite as I love the golden hues of the prairie during the fall.

4. Creating Fall Wreaths. Sky and I have been into decorating with leaves recently. So what's more fun than taking a cheap wreath and adding some leaves to it. We can pick them up on our neighborhood walks and just add to a cheapo wreath on our front porch.

What's your favorite thing to do this fall?
