One of the things I love about winter, is the quiet. The slowness. It's a great time of year to purge things that are no longer needed. Like half my closet. See if I'm honest with myself, I am no longer the same size I was before birth. My body has changed and that's ok. I need to stop holding onto things that no longer serve me and I'm going to start with clothing.
So this month I'll be cleaning out my closet. I'll be taking a look at things that no longer fit.. My body, my style, my lifestyle. It's ok to let go of things that no longer bring you joy.
- First thing I will do is review each item to see if it still fits. Is it too small or too large?
- Have I worn this item in the past year? If I haven't, then I shouldn't keep it.
- Does it fit my current style? Let's be honest, I'm not wearing the same thing I wore 5 years ago. I've changed and so has my style.
Where to donate to? If you are in Ozaukee County, I highly suggest giving all re-sellable clothing to Family Sharing of Ozaukee County. They use the proceeds of their resale shop to buy pantry staples for Ozaukee County families. If you aren't in Ozaukee County, look up a similar organization in your area to donate to.
